Aplicación Lean Manufacturing para reducir la merma generada en una empresa que fabrica conductores eléctricos

Abstract

La empresa Elcope se dedica a la fabricación de conductores eléctricos, esta organización presenta hace muchos años un exceso de merma que se genera en sus procesos productivos; Actualmente, la demanda de cables ha aumentado en los últimos años y por consiguiente se incrementó el porcentaje de merma permitido. Por lo expuesto, la presente tesis tiene por objetivo la implementación de un sistema de mejora continua. En primer lugar, se analizará los datos de merma obtenida en los años 2020, 2021 y primer trimestre del 2022, para reducir este exceso hasta como mínimo el límite permitido mediante la aplicación de las herramientas de Lean manufacturing. Los valores luego de la aplicación de las herramientas, fue 4.6% a finales del 2022 logrando reducir la merma de plásticos, el cual equivale en un ahorro de S/. 115,733 en dicho periodo. Finalmente, se concluye los resultados que obtenidos luego de esta implementación nos indica que ha sido eficiente porque ha logrado reducir los valores de porcentaje por debajo de lo permitido por la organización.

The company Elcope is dedicated to the manufacture of electrical conductors, this organization presents many years ago an excess of waste that is generated in their production processes; Currently, the demand for cables has increased in recent years and therefore increased the percentage of waste allowed. Therefore, the objective of this thesis is the implementation of a continuous improvement system. First of all, we will analyze the shrinkage data obtained in 2020, 2021 and the first quarter of 2022, in order to reduce this excess to at least the allowed limit through the application of Lean manufacturing tools. The values after the application of the tools 4.6% at the end of 2022 managed to reduce the waste of plastics, which is equivalent to a saving of 115,733 soles in that period.finally, we conclude the results obtained after this implementation indicates that it has been efficient because it has managed to reduce the percentage values below the allowed by the organization.
