Centro de Interpretación de la Identidad Militar "Rafael Hoyos Rubio"

Abstract

El patrimonio militar en los últimos años ha venido experimentados diversos cambios debido al crecimiento del tejido urbano donde se encuentra emplazado, disminuyendo parte de los usos con los que fueron proyectados y generando barreras físicas con su entorno. Se ha evidenciado en el tiempo que, muchos predios de carácter militar han ido perdiendo extensas áreas de terreno que finalmente fueron destinados a otros usos, que traen consigo la perdida de la memoria e identidad del sitio. El caso del Fuerte General de División Rafael Hoyos Rubio ubicado en el distrito del Rímac es una muestra de lo ya mencionado; y que, con la debida evaluación, análisis e intervención se podría tener una mira a la integración social, cultural y sobre todo patrimonial. El análisis realizado ha contribuido a identificar las fortalezas y debilidades que existe en el lugar, albergándolos mediante lineamientos urbanos, ambiental y social, teniendo como resultado una propuesta arquitectónica de carácter cultural asociado al ámbito militar como es, el Centro de Interpretación de la Identidad Militar “Rafael Hoyos Rubio” que al ubicarse estratégicamente buscar generar un eje cultural y turístico en conexión con el centro histórico de Lima y que sobre todo impulse la integración del personal castrense con la sociedad civil, mediante el uso de los diversos espacios culturales, de contemplación y reflexión conectados con la biodiversidad del lugar propuestos y que van de la mano de la concepción volumétrica de la arquitectura . De esta manera lograr la conformación de una identidad colectiva asociado a un pasado histórico y patrimonio militar.

In recent years, the military heritage has experienced various changes due to the growth of the urban fabric where it is located, reducing part of the uses for which it was designed and generating physical barriers with its surroundings. It has become evident over time that many military properties have been losing extensive áreas of land that were finally destined for other uses, which brings with them the loss of the memory and identity of the site. The case of Fort General Rafael Hoyos Rubio located in the Rímac district is an example of what has already been mentioned; and that, with due evaluation, analysis and intervention, we could have a view to social, cultural and, above all, heritage integration. The analysis carried out has contributed to identifying the strengths and weaknesses that exist in the place, housing them through urban, environmental and social guidelines, resulting in an architectural proposal of a cultural nature associated with the military field, such as the “Rafael Hoyos” Military Identity Interpretation Center. Rubio” that, by being strategically located, seeks to generate a cultural and tourist axis in connection with the historic center of Lima and that above all promotes the integration of military personnel with civil society, through the use of the various cultural, contemplation and reflection spaces connected with the biodiversity of the proposed place and that go hand in hand with the volumetric conception of architecture. In this way, the formation of a collective identity associated with a historical past and military heritage is achieved.
