Santuario de peregrinación Santa Rosa de Quives

Abstract

El proyecto planteado es la construcción del Santuario de Santa Rosa de Quives, el cual nace de la necesidad de la Iglesia Católica en fortalecer uno de los lugares santos del Perú motivos de peregrinaje para los fieles, importante porque en aquel lugar vivió en su adolescencia la santa limeña y se produjo también el encuentro con otro santo, Toribio de Mogrovejo, arzobispo de Lima, quien la confirmó. Se propone para el proyecto del Santuario, complementar los edificios existentes con la construcción de un conjunto arquitectónico conformado por una Capilla de Reconciliación y una explanada en la zona propia del santuario capaz de albergar a los fieles durante una misa al aire libre. La zona parroquial planteada está formada por una Casa de Retiro, la Vivienda Parroquial y el Centro Parroquial, que contempla talleres para la confección de artesanías y formación de guías turísticos.

The proposed Project is the Shrine of Pilgrimage "Santa Rosa de Quives", such an important place where the Peruvian saint had lived her adolescence and there was also a meeting with another saint, Toribio de Mogrovejo, archbishop of Lima, from whom she had received the Confirmation Sacrament. The project respond to the desire of the Catholic Church to strengthen one of the holy places of Perú as a source of pilgrimage far the Christians; as well as the necessity to support the development of the inhabitants nearby the area, through religious and touristic activities that are generated by the presence of a Sanctuary. The Shrine proposed Project, aims to complement the existing buildings with the construction of an architectural ensemble consisting of a Reconciliation Chapel and an esplanade, which is capable itself of holding to the pilgrims during a main open-air mass. The Parish area consists of a Retirement Center, the parish house and the Parish Center; which provides as well workshops far handicrafts and training as tourist guides.
