El valor simbólico de la arquitectura: Significado y forma de los museos de la Costa Norte del Perú (1990-2010)

Abstract

Esta tesis apunta a ser una contribución a la teoría de la Arquitectura. la Arquitectura posee significado porque permite separar la materialidad de la idea que se busca representar. Entendiendo al símbolo como la representación perceptible de una idea, podemos hablar del valor simbólico de la arquitectura. El objetivo general de esta tesis es establecer un punto de referencia teórico para la configuración de museos con valor simbólico. Para lograrlo, se recoge y analiza información sobre el tema de lo simbólico en Arquitectura. Además, para confrontar la teoría con la realidad, se analizan los aspectos morfológicos, de experiencia arquitectónica y simbólico en cinco casos de museos de la Costa Norte del Perú.

This thesis aims to be a contribution to the theory of Architecture. The architecture possesses meaning because it allows us to separate the materiality from the idea that it seeks to represent. Understanding the symbol as perceptible representation of an idea, we can speak of the symbolic value of architecture. The overall objective of this thesis is to establish a theoretical reference point for the configuration of museums with symbolic value. In order to achieve this, information about the topic of symbolism in Architecture is collected and analyzed. Furthermore, to confront theory with reality, we analyze the morphological aspects of architectural and symbolic experience in five cases of museums in the Morth Coast of Peru.
