La Oroya: Ciudad y Patrimonio Industrial

Abstract

Cada asentamiento posee un espíritu particular de de el pueblo más olvidado hasta el que registra mayores visitas turísticas, sin embargo presentan valores mucha veces ignorado . La Oroya, pueblo y emporio minero posee un estigma por su problemática ambiental, opaca las virtudes de su gente, sin embargo ha conseguido un valioso aporte en el urbanismo y la arquitectura del Perú. La Oroya fue reconocida como una company town y a partir de una fructífera labor industrial logró un asentamiento productivo y vital para el desarrollo económico del país en el siglo XX. El artículo muestra de manera exploratoria y descriptiva las virtudes espaciales de este distrito. Se presenta en este artículo un recuento de los fundamentos teóricos que ayudan a entender la ciudad, se reconoce su ubicación, la evolución urbana, las tipologías de barrios, y muestra los testimonios ele su patrimonio industrial vigente hasta la actualidad. El presente trabajo es una semilla que se siembra con mucha expectativa, avizorando que son los primeros pasos hacia el reconocimiento de La Oroya como Patrimonio Industrial.

Each settlement has a particular spirit from the people most forgotten untiI that records major tourist visits, however present values often ignored. La Oroya mining village emporium has a stigma because of its environmental problems, dull virtues of its people, but has achieved a valuable contribution to the planning and architecture of Peru. La Oroya was recognized as a company town and from a fruitful industry work achieved a productive and vital to the economic development in the twentieth century settlement. The paper shows how exploratory and descriptive spatial virtues of this district.We present in thir paper an account of the theoretical foundation that help to understand the city, its location is recognized, urban development, the types of neighborhoods, showing the testimonies of its existing industrial heritage to the present. The present work is a seed that is planted with much anticipation, envisioning that are the first steps towards the recognition of La Oroya and Industrial Heritage.
